The St George's Guild
The St George's Guild is 700 years old, making it one of the oldest marksmen's guilds in the country and in Europe. The guild is situated in a beautiful estate in the historical centre of Bruges. The crossbow guild is still active today. Two disciplines are practised, indoor on target and outdoor on press, which is unique for a crossbow guild. Visitors are given the opportunity to shoot the crossbow themselves after booking. After the fire of 6 October 2018, the infrastructure was completely renovated and today, we can welcome you in a unique renewed setting with a rich past. The Eedzaal (Oath Hall) houses arches of the guild members and numerous old, restored paintings of captains and kings. In the goal room, we shoot on goal at 20 metres in the winter. The guilds rooms are equipped with a professional projection and sound system There is always ample parking nearby.
