A new month, a fresh start! September is filled with new opportunities and dynamics for young people and students, but also for the Visit Bruges Convention Bureau.
The former 'Meeting in Bruges' has been trough a period of transition over the past summer months. Not only did we change our name, Marjolein and Liselot also welcomed a new colleague. Jasmine Kestens joined the team as Sales Manager.
Jasmine Kestens - Sales Manager
Jack of all trades - passionate about travel, languages and culture - sports fan -
Flandrienne pur sang - healthy hobby chef
I am incredibly proud and delighted to be able to take up the position as Sales Manager. Together we are taking new paths, with the aim of uplifting and promoting the city of Bruges and its MICE potential to an even higher level.
The team spirit is already good. Even in turbulent times, I am convinced that within our new role we can build bridges for the future in which our customers, partners and stakeholders will be very closely involved. I will certainly use my natural passion, enthusiasm and East-Flemish open-minded spirit to achieve our goals.
Liselot Waelput - Meeting Consultant
Originally from Ghent, but fell in love with the beautiful city of Bruges, I have been living and working here for almost eight years. Because of that, the city centre of Bruges with all its hidden gems no longer holds any secrets for me.
Previously, I worked at In&Uit and the Incoming department of Visit Bruges. When the opportunity came at the convention bureau a year and a half ago, I didn’t hesitate for a second. Within our team, I mainly focus on corporate requests. From small incentives and meetings to larger multi-day seminars. Together with Jasmine and Marjolein, I am really looking forward to putting Bruges even more on the map as a congress destination.
Marjolein Geeraers - MICE Consultant
Born, studied and working in Bruges. It makes sense that I have a hard time leaving this beautiful city, so I don't. When I'm not working, you might find me studying Russian, at a blogging event, walking the dog or behind my sewing machine.
I started working for the convention bureau in 2017 and since July of this year I'm the MICE Consultant. Which means that I'm in charge of bigger events and association conferences. Besides that I'm also the face among others: social media, newsletters, the website,... Of course I work very closely with Jasmine on both matters. Teamwork makes the dream work.
Fun fact: Liselot and I graduated together as a bachelor in Tourism and Leisure Management, in Bruges of course!
Discover the many possibilities that Bruges has to offer together with the Visit Bruges Convention Bureau. Hopefully, like us, you will fall hopelessly in love with this wonderful city and see or feel the added value of Bruges for your next meeting, conference or incentive.
